So, to start off my blog post, I decided that I wanted feature some of the awesome Nautical Theme stamps that are soon retiring. PLUS, this weeks Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge is Nautical themed, so these will work with that too!
So, lets jump right in. Today I made a fun, interactive fish bowl card. It uses the soon to be retired By The Tide stamp set and circle framelits.
I got the sentiment form the Picture Perfect stamp set, and I used the Curvy Keepsake tag dies to make a little tag. If you look closely, you’ll see that I used a zip lock bag and hand soap to create the water with bubbles.
Isn’t that fun?!? I didn’t want the inside to be left out, so I just left it simple.
My friend Andrea gave me the idea of using just a few strands of the Jute Ribbon to pull this card together, and I think it was the perfect touch!
Now, my project…which I LOVE!! I made a fun mini album, using the small treat bag dies for the pages. I used more strands of the Jute Ribbon to hold the bags in AND I used the left over cardboard from my past paper pumpkin kits for the cover and spine. Doesn’t the starfish look 3 dimensional? I stamped the first layer of the starfish in Crumb Cake on crumb cake, and then I stamped the second layer in craft white ink to give it more of a 3D effect. I used lots of embellishments from the Memories in the Making Accessory Pack, and I used the Memories in the Making color pallet and Project Life cards for lots of the photo mats throughout the album. Each page has a pocket and a tag. Here they are…
I used the corner rounder and the triple corner punch for the edges of the tags, and I used the background designer series paper in the coordinating colors for the mats (Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, Pink Pirouette, Soft Sky, and Watermelon Wonder).
