Maria Willis
Cindy Waldroff

So, to start off my blog post, I have a fun, Halloween treat! Twizzlers are my favorite candy, so I had a hard time not eating them all!  That’s why there are only 6 brooms…oops..all well, there are at least 6 though 🙂brooms

You can use 1″ cellophane bags from Stampin’ Up! for the twirlers, and then I cut a strip of 2″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper from the Happy Hauntings set. I used my fringe scissors to cut 1.5″ up from the bottom to make the straw endings.  Do you like the twine?!? It’s actually whisper white twine that I colored using Crumb Cake ink. Too cute to eat?!? not if you’re me….

Next, I have a super fun After Hours Club, Halloween Home decor project!Brooms, Halloween, After Hours, Back to Basics, Washi Tape, Alphabet Rotary Stamp

I love that I can use the Alphabet Rotary Stamp set and the Back to Basic Stamp sets to make any signs that I want. My Broom Parking sign is in Memnto. My windows have vellum behind them, so when the cauldron is on inside the box, you can see a light flickering in the windows. Do you want to see what’s inside?  You pull on the satin ribbon handle to reveal the inside of my After Hours Club….Halloween, Happy Scenes, Back to Basics, Brick Wall EF, Haunt Ya Later, twine, home decor

So?!? What do you think?!? I’d love for you to tell me in the comments. I had a lot of fun with this. I made another sign with the alphabet rotary stamp for my “HATS REQUIRED” sign at the Brews Bar. Do you like all my potions/brews? I drew those by hand on the back of a piece of vellum and colored them in with my Stampin’ Write Markers. I watercolored the witch and cat, and I used a bit of Gold Dazzling Diamonds to make the belt on her hat and the star around her neck sparkle. Kat Knip Corner wouldn’t have been complete without some entertainment, so I added some fun twine for the kitties to play with. Do you like the cauldron fire? I used the brick wall embossing folder to give the outside a bit of interest. I hope you enjoyed my projects!

  1. Twizzler brooms, that’s a great idea and actually making me want to eat a few right now..yummy! And, your home decor project is really amazing and I love that you drew those potion bottles. I sometimes free hand things too and then wonder, why don’t I do that more often? By the way, I think you meant to say “Hats Required”, lol!

  2. Are you going to sell a tutorial on how to make this? Or can you at least mention what “fun fold” card style this is so we can Google search how to make it? The supply list was helpful but I’ve never seen a card like this before. Thanks!

    • Hi Kathy…it’s a box not a card actually…I designed it myself…I can put a short write up on how to do it soon 🙂

  3. I don’t even know what to say Elizabeth… Both of your projects are unbelievably creative and I love that the brooms actually went right together with your night club and the “Broom Parking” sign. I have no idea how you came up with the night club but it is so fantastic! Lots of amazing attention to detail! Thanks for sharing and I’m looking forward to that Night Club tutorial!

  4. The Twizzler Broom Parking Lot is way too cute along with the Twizzler Brooms! The After hours Box is so cool and there is so much detail in it ~ an awesome piece of work! Love it! Would love to know how it was created if you are sharing the directions. I like how Brews Bottles were all hand drawn ~ that is talent! They look great. Thanks for sharing these wonderful projects with all of us.

  5. WOW Elizabeth Love these projects. The brooms are cute for a class room halloween gift. And the cauldron box is fantastic. Change that up to be Christmas themed and make a class. Thanks for sharing and love to attend another class with you sometime.

  6. So CUTE! Love the Kats Korner and all of your detail. Would also know how you created the “box”. Very creative! TFS!
