Welcome to the Spring Fling Bog Hop! I’m sharing two different colored versions of a beautiful easel card box! They are so much fun!. Here’s the video on how to make the easel box.
Now for some pictures in case you don’t want to watch the video.I just love the Botanical Builders set. You can do just about anything with them and they look great!
Isn’t the drawer pretty! It pulls completely out. The knob is from the cabinet department at Lowe’s, so you have lots and lots of options for different handles. I did sponge the edges of this box with Crumb Cake, but I don’t think that’s necessary.
This beautiful sentiment is from the Feels Good stamp set. Don’t forget there’s a complete supply list at the bottom of this post, PLUS, a huge giveaway.
Of course, I couldn’t resist the Wink of Stella on all of the flowers 🙂
Here’s the second box. I used Pink Pirouette and Marina Mist as my accent colors this time. I think I love this one the best.
Here’s what it looks like when It’s completely closed.
Here are the dimensions to make the easel box.
Drawer lips (2) 6″ x 6″, watercolor paper
Drawer Compartment (2) 7″ x 8 1/2″, Scored on 2 short and 1 long side at 1 1/2″, watercolor paper
–cut the corners made by the score marks off of one piece for the top of the compartment
–cut a flap on the other piece at both of the corners, so the bottom folds closed.
Drawer 8 1/8″ x 8 1/8″, Scored at 1 3/8″ on 4 sides, watercolor paper
–cut flats into into all four corners and fold the drawer together
Inside Drawer Black Mat 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″
Side Panels (7) 5 1/4″ 1 1/4″ Black Mat
Side Panels (7) 5 1/8″ x 1 1/8″ Pink Mat
Side Panels (7) 5″ x 1″ DSP
Top box layer 5 3/4″ x 5 3/4″ Black Mat
Easel Card
–Card Base 5 1/2″ x 11″, Scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″, Pink Pirouette
–Inside Black Mat 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″
–Inside DSP, 5 1/8″ x 5 1/8″
–Inside sentiment panel, 3 1/2″ x 4″, watercolor
–Inside sentiment Black Mat, 3 5/8″ x 4 1/8″
Top Panel of the Easel Card
–Pink Card Base 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
–Black Mat 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″
–DSP 5 1/8″ x 5 1/8″
—-Cut the DSP, 2″ deep at approximately 2 1/2″
—-Use a ruler to fold the flaps back and stick down with a glue dot.
